LMC TY Program Application/Interview Process

The application process is open to candidates through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Only electronically submitted applications are considered. Successful applicants are expected to enroll in the National Residency Matching program (NRMP). 

Applicants are screened based on their USMLE scores, letters of recommendation and personal statement.

The application criteria include but is not limited to the following: 

• Score of 220 and above on first attempt of the USMLE I and USMLE II (CK).
• Score of 500 and above on first attempt of the COMLEX Level 1 and  2
• Pass on first attempt the USMLE 2 - CS or the COMLEX 2 PE
• If applicable, valid ECFMG certificate before the NRMP match date. 
• Graduation from medical school within the past 5 years.
  

Interview Process

Applicants that are invited for interview meet with program director and at least with one faculty member. Applicants are given a hospital tour and meet with members of the housestaff. At the end of the interview season, the department prepares a rank order list and the latter is submitted to the NRMP. 
*For candidates who match at Lincoln Medical Center and are not American citizens, ECFMG provides sponsorship for J1 visa.

*Mostly Virtual Interview Process with TWO DATES available for in person interviews*

Applicants who choose to interview virtually be invited for virtual interview - CISCO WEBEX. Candidates will interview with program director and at least with one faculty member. Applicants will be given a virtual hospital tour.  
Candidates who choose to interview in person will report to Lincoln Hospital on their selected interview date.
